The Lacquer Coating is very hardwearing but will be damaged if abrasive cleaners or metal polishes are used. To keep brassware in sparkling condition it should be dusted regularly with a soft cloth. If fitted on exterior doors it is advisable to also apply a thin coat of good wax polish.
